Two masked gunmen rob laundromat in Macon

Two masked gunmen robbed the Splash & Dash Laundromat on Pio Nono Avenue on Saturday morning.

The gunmen brandished handguns, demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release. No one was hurt in the 11 a.m. holdup.

The suspects were described as black men, with one wearing a black mask, black coat, blue jeans and gloves, the release said.

The second suspect was last seen wearing a black hat and black jacket with a gray hooded sweat shirt under the jacket. He also had on light colored jeans and white tennis shoes.

Two employees were inside the laundromat during the stickup.

The laundromat is located at 2081 Pio Nono Ave. near Catherine Street in west Macon.
