Masked men in shades rob Family Dollar store in south Macon

Masked men in sunglasses held up a Family Dollar store Wednesday night.

At about 9:20 p.m., the men demanded money from the cash registers at Family Dollar at 3567 Houston Ave., according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

They received an undisclosed amount of money and ran away headed south on Houston Avenue.

The first gunman was wearing a blue T-shirt over his head, a black T-shirt over a long-sleeved black shirt with white skulls on it, black pants and was carrying a white bag that appeared to have a gun inside.

The second man was wearing a black shirt over his face, a black hat and a black jacket over blue jeans and black shoes.

A Family Dollar at 3656 Jeffersonville Road was robbed Tuesday night by gunmen in sunglasses, but sheriff’s deputies did not say whether they think the same people are responsible for Wednesday night’s holdup.
