3 masked bandits in sunglasses rob east Bibb County discount store at gunpoint

Three robbers with guns held up an east Macon store Tuesday night.

At about 10:15 p.m., the trio, who had their faces covered with bandanas and were wearing sunglasses, demanded cash from two employees at the Family Dollar at 3656 Jeffersonville Road near Irwinton Road, according to a Bibb County sheriff’s news release.

The robbers emptied the cash registers and got away with an undisclosed amount of money and several boxes of cigarettes.

No one was hurt in the holdup.

The three men were wearing black clothes, gloves and Jordan shoes.
