Reginald Dino Gilmore pleaded guilty to armed robbery Tuesday for a 2016 stickup at a Pizza Hut in south Bibb County.

Gilmore, 38, was sentenced to serve 18 years, with no chance for parole.

The gunpoint robbery at the Houston Road pizza parlor happened the night of August 5, 2016. A pizza deliveryman followed Gilmore’s getaway car and put the cops on his trail. Charges are pending against another man thought to have been driving the car.

Gilmore, who that June had completed a 20-year prison term for armed robbery and aggravated assault in Washington County, had only been a free man for 46 days.

He was 17 and living in Sandersville when he was first sent to prison for that two-decade stretch.

He had just turned 38 when he was released from the Macon Transitional Center on June 20, 2016.
