FORT VALLEY -- An arrest warrant has been issued for one of two suspects in last week's armed robbery of the Flash Food convenience store at 401 Blue Bird Blvd.

The suspect was identified as Larry Little Jr., 25, of Stone Mountain, by city police detectives, according to a Fort Valley Police Department news release. Little is being sought on a charge of armed robbery.

Detectives are still working to identify the second suspect. The men allegedly stole cash and cigarettes after displaying a handgun and demanding money in the Jan. 13 robbery.

Little was identified as a suspect based on witness interviews and tips from the public after surveillance store photos were published through social media outlets and by various news agencies.

"The amount of information we received from the public about this case was overwhelming," Fort Valley Public Safety Director Lawrence Spurgeon said in the release. "It demonstrates to me that our citizens are fed up with this type of criminal activity, and they are not going to stand for it."

Anyone with information about Little's whereabouts is asked to call the Fort Valley Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division at 478-825-3384 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers 877-68-CRIME.
