State environmental health inspectors assign grades based on how many points are deducted from 100, with scores 69 and below considered failing.
Also included in the November inspections was a required follow-up inspection for American Philly & Wings that failed its routine inspection in October. The restaurant earned a score of 99 for an “A” at its follow-up inspection Nov. 4.
An “A” for “food safety excellence” is based on a score between 90 and 100. A grade of “B” for “satisfactory compliance” is for a score between 80 and 89. A “C” for “marginal compliance” is based on a score of 70 to 79, while a “U” for “unsatisfactory compliance” is received for a failing score of 69 or less.
