‘It’s a lot of fun.’ Byron family to appear on ‘Family Feud’ for second time in three years.
A Byron family is returning to the TV game show “Family Feud.”
Laura Decker and her sons, Luke, Chris and D.J., and son-in-law, Adrian Lowe, set their sights on the $20,000 Fast Money, a segment of the show they didn’t win in 2017.
The family traveled to Los Angeles in May 2019 for the taping of two shows, which air at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday on WGXA-TV.
“It was so much more exciting than the first time,” Decker said Tuesday. “Five days of family time away from our jobs— the movies, the beach. We explored everything we could.”
The Deckers took their spouses and other family members, with about a dozen members of their family making the trip, she said.
As returning contestants, the shows airing this week are tagged as No. 3 and No. 4, Decker explained.
“They pick up where you left off,” said Decker of their 2017 appearance.
Decker had nothing but praise for game show host Steve Harvey.
“He just keeps the audience going the entire day,” said Decker, who noted Harvey stays out with the audience in between the taping of four shows each day. “He steps out there and entertains.”
Meanwhile, contestants are treated like movie stars, Decker said.
“Of course, it’s nerve-racking. Your mouth goes dry. ... But it’s a lot of fun,” she said.
