Two teenagers were walking in Booth Road when they were struck by a car early Thursday.

The teens, a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, were taken to the Medical Center, Navicient Health, with serious injuries, Warner Robins police said.

The teens were pushing a shopping cart in the roadway at 12:49 a.m. when they were struck from behind by the 20-year-old driver of a 2003 Ford Taurus, according to the preliminary investigation.

Driver impairment or speed were not factors in the accident based on the preliminary investigation, police said.

The accident on Booth Road at Wellborn Road is under investigation by the Warner Robins police traffic investigation.
