Driver fatally strikes man on Log Cabin Drive in Macon, deputies say
A man was struck and killed by a car Thursday night on Log Cabin Drive, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Friday.
Isaiah Scott, 32, was struck by a man driving a Chevrolet Silverado around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, according to BSO. It occurred in the 5000 block of Log Cabin Drive near the intersection of Chamber Road.
Scott was taken to a local hospital via an ambulance in critical condition. However, he died at the hospital, according to Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley, who was referenced in the news release.
The driver stopped and remained at the scene, Chace Ambrose of the public affairs office at the BSO said. The crash is under investigation and no charges have been filed, BSO said.

This is the second incident this week in which a pedestrian died. A man, identified as Luis Manzano, 25, died after being struck by a car on Moody Road in Warner Robins.
