Gunfire erupts outside north Macon apartment complex injuring 19-year-old

Gunfire erupted in a parking lot of a north Macon apartment Wednesday, injuring a 19-year-old.

Timothy Jeremiah Green of Macon was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health, with injuries to his right shoulder and ear and was listed in stable condition at last report from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Green and another male had an “altercation” near Building No. 12 of The Vistas apartments at 4150 Arkwright Road, Bibb County sheriff’s officials said.

Shots were fired and Green reportedly was attempting to flee in a vehicle and struck three unoccupied cars in the parking lot. Green did not live at the apartment complex.

Another male, age 20, had minor injuries but it was unclear whether his injuries were related to the incident, sheriff’s officials said.

He was driven to Coliseum Northside.

No suspect description was available.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751 -7500, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
