Bibb deputies investigating second shooting in three days in Fort Hill. Here’s more.

A 30-old-man was shot in the arm while in his parked car Tuesday in the 700 block of Smith Street in east Macon.

Bernard Heard, of Macon, was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health, after the 11:28 a.m. incident, said Bibb County sheriff’s Sgt. Clay Williams. The injury was not life-threatening, Williams said.

It’s the second shooting within three days within a half-mile of each other.

Deputies think Heard was arguing with the person who shot him and that the argument escalated, Williams said.

Authorities do not have a suspect identification or description, Williams said.

Sunday night, Marcus Robinson, 39, of Macon, was shot in the leg during a “physical altercation” at the corner of Applewood and Leaf streets in Fort Hill.

The shootings are not thought be related, Williams said.

Anyone with information about Tuesday’s shooting is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751 -7500, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
