A pedestrian dies from injuries months after being struck by car in Macon

A 66-year-old Macon man who was hit by a car while crossing Spring Street near Riverside Drive this summer has died.

George Miller’s death was related to injuries that he received in the July 6 accident, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release. Miller died Sunday.

Miller walked in front of a Honda Civic that was traveling north on Riverside Drive about 11:30 p.m., a previous release said.

The accident is still under investigation. No charges have been filed.
