Olive Garden closing existing store, north Macon store to open in January
The Olive Garden restaurant is relocating to north Macon.
The new Olive Garden in The Shoppes at River Crossing is on track to open in January.
It will replace the current 3709 Bloomfield Road restaurant located near the Macon Mall, according to an Olive Garden spokeswoman.
Employees working at the Bloomfield Road restaurant will relocate to the new Olive Garden when it opens.
The general manager of The Shoppes at River Crossing announced in May that the Italian restaurant would open in the former Sticky Fingers Smokehouse.
On Tuesday night, the Macon-Bibb County Commission approved an alcohol license for the Olive Garden at 4950 Riverside Drive.
