Gregg Allman’s grave in plot beside Allman Brothers’ bandmates

Gregg Allman will be buried on Saturday in a plot that neighbors those of two Allman Brothers’ bandmates.

The new grave was marked Thursday with a rectangular board that was on the ground across a brick walkway from the wrought-iron gates that surround the graves of Duane Allman and Berry Oakley.

Gregg Allman’s funeral is set for Saturday afternoon in downtown Macon, a week after his death at age 69.

Snow’s Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
