Warner Robins public buildings closed
As of Tuesday, March 17, all City of Warner Robins public buildings are closed to the public. Here’s more from the city:
- Utility payments can be made online, at the drive thru or dropped off in the night box at City Hall. (For new services and disconnects please call customer service).
- Each department is prepared to make appointments as necessary to help keep the operations of the city moving forward. (Please call 478-293-1000 to be connected to the respective department).
- The March 16 city council meeting will be conducted via teleconference and is available via the city’s Facebook page.
Museum of Aviation
The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins is closed and is expected to remain closed until April 15.
Museum of Arts and Sciences
The Museum of Arts and Sciences in Macon is closed through April 6.
Middle Georgia Libraries
Beginning with the end of business March 16, all Middle Georgia Libraries will close for an unspecified amount of time. All items currently checked out will be due April 1. All facilities will continue to provide free Wi-Fi that is accessible from most of the locations’ parking lots.
Houston County Schools to feed children breakfast, lunch beginning March 17
Beginning Tuesday, March 17, the Houston County Scholl District will offer breakfast and lunch to any child up to 18 years old. Children do not need to be enrolled in the Houston County School District to receive meals.
Meals will be available at four schools between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the car rider or bus lane, according to a release from the district. District vans will also deliver meals to specific neighborhoods once a day. The four schools are Huntington Middle, Matt Arthur Elementary, Northside High and Tucker Elementary. Macon-Bibb County recreation centers to close
Starting on March 17 the Macon-Bibb County recreation centers will close for at least 15 days. The county will continue to monitor the situation to determine if longer closures are needed.
Here are the centers that will close:
- Elaine H. Lucas Senior Center
- John Drew Smith Tennis Center
- Frank Johnson Recreation Center
- Delores A. Brooks Recreation Center
- Freedom Park
- Memorial Center
- Tattnall Square Park Tennis Center
- Theron Ussery Recreation Center
- Bloomfield Park
- South Bibb Recreation Center.
