Owners of the Taste and See Coffee Shop and Gallery announced Friday on Facebook that they’re closing the shop.

Here is the announcement:

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing (for now) of Taste & See due to staffing shortage. We will be closed Saturday, Sunday, & Monday with our last day being Tuesday November 1st.

“The coffee shop has been a part of our lives for over 9 years, and we are thankful for all of our loyal customers, your business and words of encouragement. We hope and pray that the Lord is not done with this business/ministry in downtown Macon.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to meet and talk to so many of you over the years. Please pray for our family and this business as we discuss what the future holds for us and Taste & See. We love you all! God Bless!”

No one was reached by telephone at the coffee shop at 546 Poplar St. late Friday afternoon.

This is the second downtown Macon business recently to announce a closure via social media.

Larry Bush’s longtime tire business closed Oct. 14, making way for new downtown apartments

Crescent Corners residential lofts are expected to be constructed at Second and Plum Streets where Larry Bush’s Riverside Tire was located.
