‘Our food is so good we couldn’t name it!’ New restaurant to open soon in Warner Robins
The same people behind the popular Fried Green Tomatoes in Middle Georgia are gearing up to open a new restaurant with a different concept in Warner Robins.
No Name Chicken will serve up wings and tenderloin sliders with a choice of 12 signature sauces such as Peach on Fire, Mucho Macho and Crabby Cajun, said Candice Miller, managing partner in the new restaurant.
They’ll also serve up street fried rice and expect to offer beer and wine.
“Our slogan for No Name is, ‘Our food is so good we couldn’t name it!’” Miller said.
Signage is up for the new restaurant at 778 Ga. 96, Suite 130, in The Shoppes at Houston Lake. The restaurant is in the former Sweet of Life spot.
No Name Chicken is targeted to open Aug. 15.
A sister restaurant
The same owners also opened Wingtopia on June 22, a new restaurant at 5966 Zebulon Road in Macon.
Wingtopia also offers Philly cheese steaks, burgers, hibachi, fried rice and fried seafood.
“The Wingtopia sauce is a sweet chili sauce and we also offer a spicy Wingtopia as well,” Miller said.
The restaurant also plans to eventually offer beer and wine. Their phone number is 478- 259-4594.
Hours are:
- 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday
- 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday
Like Wingtopia, No Name Chicken will offer dine-in and carryout but no call ahead ordering, Miller said. Both restaurants are expected to be available on delivery apps soon.
Fried Green Tomatoes
The family behind the Fried Green Tomato restaurants first started with 478 Country Buffet in the Peach Shops in Byron.
With the success of that restaurant, family members decided they wanted to offer the same Southern comfort food but to move to a fast-food, cafeteria style concept, Miller said. They opened the first Fried Green Tomatoes restaurant in Centerville on Oct. 1, 2018.
They now have Fried Green Tomatoes restaurants in Macon, Milledgeville, Fort Valley and Warner Robins.
Miller is a managing partner in the Fried Green Tomatoes restaurants in Centerville, Macon and Warner Robins as well as the new sister restaurant, No Name Chicken. Tanya Phillips is the managing partner for the Fried Green Tomatoes in Milledgeville. Shavon Toomer is the managing partner for Wingtopia.
“Our customers should expect the same great quality and service that we already give at our FGT locations,” Miller said.
