Fort Valley police looking for suspected shooter

FORT VALLEY -- A 25-year-old man was shot Tuesday at Indian Oaks Apartments, 1105 E. Church St., police said.

Anthony D. McGhee was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health, after he was shot in the upper torso in Apt. E-5.

McGhee was listed in stable condition, said Fort Valley Public Safety Director Lawrence Spurgeon.

Police have identified the suspected shooter and are looking for that person, Spurgeon said. He declined to release the identity of the suspect or details related to the 12:45 p.m. incident.

The GBI assisted in processing the crime scene.
