Macon man, two teens indicted in monthlong armed robbery spree

Bibb County grand jurors have indicted a Macon man and two Macon teenagers in connection with a monthlong armed robbery spree.

Rodriquez Alexander Snell, 20, and Antonio Travon Knight, 18, are accused of using a shotgun to rob Family Dollar, 4925 Bloomfield Road, Dec. 18, 2011, according to an indictment filed Tuesday in Bibb County Superior Court.

Snell and 16-year-old Alonzo Campbell are accused of using a pistol to rob three men as they tried to repair a car Jan. 15 in the Golden Corral parking lot on Presidential Parkway. Snell and Campbell took a 2002 Dodge Ram, prosecutor Garrison A. Wood said.

Snell and Campbell additionally are accused of using a pistol to rob Nu-Way, 5391 Bloomfield Road, on Jan. 16. Employees and customers also were robbed during the incident, according to the indictment.

The next day, the two men allegedly robbed Family Dollar, 4925 Bloomfield Road. Employees and customers also were robbed during the incident, according to the indictment.

Snell is charged with nine counts of armed robbery, three counts of aggravated assault and four counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to court records. He is being held at the Bibb County jail without bond, according to jail records.

Knight is charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of aggravated assault, according to court records. He is being held at the Bibb County jail on $165,000 bond, according to jail records.

Campbell is charged with seven counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to court records.

Wood said Campbell is being held at a youth detention facility.
