Retailer closes Macon Mall store, reopens in north Bibb

Kirkland’s, the national home decor and gifts retailer that closed its Macon Mall store a couple of weeks ago, is now open in The Shoppes at River Crossing, 5080 Riverside Drive, Suite 500, in north Bibb County.

Kirkland’s opened its new 6,967-square-foot store two weeks ago and will have its official grand opening May 19-20, featuring free personal design workshops and consultations with Macon interior designer Valerie Garrett.

Kirkland’s was in Macon Mall for about 10 years.

“Macon has been a good market for us, and we look forward to having a larger space where we can increase our presence and display larger inventory,” said Mike Madden, Kirkland’s senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Kirkland’s operates 296 stores in 30 states, 20 of which are in Georgia, including a location in Warner Robins.
