The Cool Kid takes a winding road
I was sitting in my Porsche listening to Mrs. Cool Kid's latest rant about how sitting on my porch is not the same thing as sitting in a Porsche.
Then it occurred to me: That while the shark, babe, has such teeth, dear, and it shows them pearly white, it is oddly and conversely true that just a jackknife has old MacHeath, babe, and he keeps it, ah, out of sight.
Who would've thunk? Makes sense, though.
Anyway, enough of that. I'm being paid to write, not muse.
Oh, hey! Did you know the word muse, meaning to think, comes from the word muse, meaning one of a group of Greek goddesses who inspired artists and scientists?
That's some lazy comes-froming. The lotus-eater who comes-fromed that one could have at least changed the e at the end to an a, or threw in a silent letter somewhere.
I always write my silent letters in invisible ink. It keeps the oxen confused.
Sorry. Got distracted again. I really need to do some reading guiding here. After all, I'm on the clock.
Speaking of which, let me move that. The driver's seat of a Porsche is no place for a clock anyway. Unless it's a second hands Porsche.

Uhmm ... where was I?

I guess, O Best Ones, the question then isn't where am I, but who am I.
My editor obviously thinks I'm a big-brain book brontosaurus with nothing better to do than give tips to the seven who are -- for some reason -- against Thebes.
And she's right. And I bet she's always wondered what that felt like.
So here's some reading advice, O Best Ones: Do.
I appreciate you sticking around for that. I know you were anxious to flip over to The Cop Shop and chortle at the folly of your lessers.
