MULBERRY STREET ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL

10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Mulberry Street, between Second and Third streets. Hundreds of arts and crafts vendors. Hosted by the Middle Georgia Art Association. 478-744-9557.

"PARTY ON THE GREEN"

5-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Wesleyan College, 4760 Forsyth Road. Pack a picnic and enjoy live music, entertainment, fireworks and food vendors. www.cherryblossom.com.

"YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN"

DOGWOOD FESTIVAL

10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, downtown Perry. Arts and crafts, food vendors, a youth entertainment stage, dog dock diving competition and kids zone. Hot Air Balloon Rally 4-9 p.m. April 9 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter. www.perrygeorgiachamber.com.

MAGNOLIA SOAP BOX DERBY

10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Washington Park, Magnolia Street, downtown Macon. Up to 30 teams compete for bragging rights and glory as they race down Magnolia Street in all kinds of crazy custom race cars. Fans line the streets to cheer on their favorites. Free to watch. www.maconderby.com.
