Blu the Blep is quite a famous rescue kitty online. The Italian cat was born with some bone abnormalities and has suffered a few rare neurological issues, and because of this, she has a very distinctive way of standing, with her tongue always sticking out in an adorable little smile.
Her vet mother makes sure she lives the happiest life possible and shares many of their adventures on Instagram. Recreating Blu's funny little face and distinctive stance presents a challenge for the wool artist, but she manages to capture Blu's spirit inside and out.

"I just love her big expressive eyes," the artist says as we watch her put Blu's face together, "so it was really important to me to replicate that exact look."
We watch as the artist creates a custom wool blend to match Blu's beautiful gray coat, see her patiently and gently create the toe beans, and, little by little, Blu, the wool rescue cat, comes to vibrant life.
"My absolute favorite part was her expression," the artist says. "Adding her delicate whiskers and sculpting that iconic permanent little blep. After a quick trim and a brush out, she was finally done."
All in all, it took the artist a week to create Blu the wool rescue cat, and we're sure the real-life Blu and her human will love the final result!
