Chocolate Labrador Is Completely Unimpressed by Her New Toy
Dogs aren't usually very picky about their toys. In fact, most are thrilled to play with just about anything you hand them. Well... most dogs, anyway. Lola, the Chocolate Labrador, on the other hand, isn't so easily impressed. When Mom surprises her with a brand-new toy, her reaction is written all over her face.
According to @lolathelabpup's latest TikTok video, the new purchase followed an unfortunate incident involving several pairs of Mom's flip-flops. The caption reads, "The reality of getting my dog something to play with that isn't my 3rd pair of flip-flops this week."

Clearly, Mom was hoping to spare her future footwear from the same fate, but the adorable, wobbly toy in front of Lola wasn't exactly at the top of the Chocolate Lab's wish list.
In the video, Mom gives the toy a push, sending it wobbling forward before it bounces right back upright. Lola stays seated in front of it but makes no move toward playing with it. In fact, she just stares at it curiously. To spark her interest, Mom gives it a few more nudges, but the Chocolate Labrador remains unimpressed.
Then, in the ultimate thumbs-down review of the new toy, Lola simply gets up and walks away... literally.
How To Choose a Toy Your Dog Will Actually Play With
There are several things to consider when picking out a new toy for your fluffy, four-legged family member. Experts at Small Door Veterinary explain, "The type of toys that suit your dog best will depend greatly on their breed, temperament, and habits." They also note that every dog is different, so just because one pup loves a particular toy doesn't mean another one will.
These days, the dog toy options seem endless. From durable chew toys and plush stuffed animals to enrichment puzzles and tug toys, there's something for every type of dog. Keeping your pup's personality and play style in mind can help you choose a toy they'll actually enjoy. For example, a dog who loves to chew may do best with a toy designed for aggressive chewers, while a pup who prefers interactive play might have more fun chasing a ball or catching a Frisbee with you.
