Every animal deserves a loving family, no matter what size or shape they come in! Sadly, certain pups struggle to get adopted from shelters, even when they have the best personalities. This three-legged Husky, Tilly, has not been able to find her forever home. "POV: Every meet-and-greet canceled because you're a three-legged Husky," the on-screen text tells us the heartbreaking tale. It's clear just from this short clip that she's a gentle girl worthy of love.

The caption gives us more details: "Meet Tilly, a sweet three-legged Husky mix with a resilient spirit and so much love to give. Despite only having three legs, Tilly doesn't let anything slow her down-she loves walks, affection, and spending time with her people. This special girl is ready to find a loving home where she can finally be someone's loyal best friend." We're rooting for you, Tilly!

Commenters chimed in to express their devotion to Tilly, with many trying to connect her to her future pet parents or special rescue. @britxlauren put it best, "What a sweet baby!!! I have a tripod Husky! They're no different. I wish I could adopt another one. Praying she finds her perfect forever home!" The poster also expressed that Tilly gets along great with cats and dogs, so she'll fit in well in a home that already has fur babies.

Why Tripod Dogs Are So Resilient

Most tripod dogs (those with only three legs) go on to live long and healthy lives. Many pet parents hardly notice the difference. The dogs themselves easily adapt, and some even compete in agility competitions.

Pet parents with tripod dogs should take a few extra precautions. Sometimes these beasties have trouble with stairs or sharp inclines. They may need extra assistance with climbs. PetMD suggests raised food and water bowls, ramps, and antislip rugs, as well as therapeutic bedding to help your three-legger live comfortably.

With the right setup and a tiny bit of extra love, a tripod dog can live their best life, no different from any other. For more info on Tilly, check out her profile on the Valley Animal Center website.
