While the sound may have convinced his sibling to back off, it didn't actually sound as intimidating as he wanted it to. At one point, the cat growled at his sibling and even hissed to get him to back off.
In the caption, his parent joked that the growl was truly "his scariest voice," even though it sounded more cute than scary. However, people in the comments defended the cat and his growls, with people saying, "He is terrifying."
"Don't underestimate him," one person said about his little growls and hisses. Another user commented, "He's so right. I'm literally shaking in my boots right now, and I'm crying and shaking too."
"BRO EVEN HIS ANGRY MEOW IS SUPER CUTE ," another person added in the comments.
One user pointed out that he's " 120% of cuteness and anger," while another joked that he's actually "Sweet as a cupcake " despite his attempts.

Why do cats growl and snarl?
There are plenty of reasons cats make the noises they do, but the main reason a cat may growl or snarl at its parent, sibling, or another animal is to warn them to stay away.
According to Chewy, cats will typically growl because they're feeling "annoyed, frightened, or angry." They note that a cat will growl at a person or animal in order "to show possession of a favored item-like a food bowl-if another cat dares to come near it."
Additionally, cats will snarl at people, other cats, and animals because it is "used when responding to a perceived threat." Chewy also says it's another common way to express their "annoyance." The noise may also be made during a fight between two male cats or if a person touches a "no-touch" area on the cat's body.
