Golden Retriever Was Told 'No Swimming'-So She Created a Genius Loophole
It's no secret that Golden Retrievers are absolutely obsessed with the water, but this silly girl took her love of the pool to the next level.
Sharing on TikTok, user @rainershinegolden8 showed the very meticulous, slow-and-steady scheme their lovable Golden has concocted in order to loophole her way into the family pool when she's ready for a swim. (Which given that she's a Golden Retriever is probably always.)

By slowly but surely tapping her ball to the edge of the pool, if it falls it she has to be able to go get it-you can't deny her logic! Users on social media were tickled by her method, flooding the comment section with laughing emojis and commending the lovable dog for her foolproof plan.
The humans behind the account, AKC Golden Retriever breeders according to their bio, were happy to report after the fact that the pool is now open for business. No ball rolling or master scheming required.
Why Golden Retrievers Love Water So Much
Goldens are such water magnets, in part, because they were selectively bred in 19th-century Scotland to hunt and retrieve water birds. Over the years, this breeding made them essentially designed to be water dogs. Physically speaking they're absolutely made for it; their thick, double coats help repel water, their webbed paws behave like flippers, and their long, fluffy tails act like rudders making them agile and balanced in the water.
Because of the selective breeding and the way Goldens are built, swimming just comes very naturally to them so heading to the water is essentially an instinct. Combining this natural inclination with proper supervision and training is essential to making sure your dog stays safe when around the water and swimming.
Once you do, you'll probably have to fend them off or barrier any body of water they come near. And hide all balls, lest you have one damp Golden 99.9% of the time.
