Live music, craft fair, more planned for new fall festival at Lake Tobesofkee
Lake Tobesofkee will play host to a new fall festival in Macon next month, welcoming live music, children’s activities and more in the first-ever “Oc-Tobo-Fest,” Macon-Bibb County announced Thursday.
The event will be at Sandy Beach Park, 6880 Moseley Dixon Road, and will last three days, from Oct. 24-26, the county said in a news release.
“Guests can look forward to a wide variety of activities, including a bustling craft fair, live music, a fun-filled kid zone, and plenty of local vendors showcasing unique products,” the county said in a news release. “A delicious lineup of food trucks will also be on-site, featuring favorites like Margaritas, SO Yummy BBQ, and Cousins Maine Lobster. It’s the perfect place to enjoy great food, shop for one-of-a-kind items, and take in the cooler weather on the lake.”
Tickets will be $3 per person, and children under 6 get in free, the county said.
Organizers are still looking for vendors and sponsors, and those interested can contact Jennifer McCafferty with Jen’s Market & Events at jennifer@jens-market.com.
“We are so excited to bring this family-friendly event to our park for the first time ever,” said Lake Tobesofkee Director Donald Bracewell. “We want this to be something everyone can enjoy, whether they come for a day or stay all weekend. We already have a great lineup of vendors and entertainment, but we’d love to welcome even more to join us.”
