Attention dog lovers: We have officially found the cutest dog in Middle Georgia, according to your votes.

Over the last few weeks, the Telegraph in Macon asked for photo submissions of pups around Middle Georgia to be entered in our “cutest dog” poll. We received 10 submissions of dogs, from a Black Lab, Aussiedoodle, Chihuahua, Corgi and even a Golden Doodle. However, there could only be one winner.

Which dog was the cutest in Middle Georgia?

After three rounds and over 2,000 votes, the winner of our 2025 cutest dog poll is…

Sebastian the Shih Tzu!

“Thank you so much, we had the whole community and family voting for him,” said Sebastian’s owner, Jordan Pounds.

Sebastian is four years old and Pounds got him in April 2021.

“He was one out of his three brothers and sisters and he was the only quiet pup that seemed to not care whether he got noticed. He was very unamused and that’s what gravitated me to him,” Pounds said.

Pounds also told us that Sebastian loves turkey bacon, walks in the park and spreading love to all the tenants at the Capricorn Lofts in Macon. Sebastian has a silly side and loves playing with his avocado tug toy, but Pounds also explained that he has a soft, compassionate side, too.

“I love that Sebastian is very affectionate. It seems he understands emotions,” she said. “The times I have had difficulties in my life and he happens to see me cry or just not doing my best, he will come close or get in my lap and lay his head on my chest or on my arm. He cares without having to say a word.”

“Sebastian is definitely a friend for life. I will always love him,” Pounds said.
