After 16 years of screams, psychos and macabre monsters, this famous Georgia haunted house is closing its doors.

Haunted Montrose, nestled in the ghost town of Montrose, Georgia, has been scaring mere mortals since 2008 and according to its founder, Trey Cottle, the 2024 season is the last.

“This has been an incredible journey, and I’m so grateful to everyone who has made Haunted Montrose a success over the years,” said Cottle. “As I retire and close this chapter, I want to invite all Halloween lovers and longtime fans to join us for one last season of frights. Let’s make this final year the best one yet.”

Haunted Montrose offers three to four unique haunted house attractions, some filled with ax-wielding psychos and others filled with giant gory creatures.

Cottle revealed that there will be special events and surprises all season long, so locals shouldn’t miss out on their chance to get spooked by one of the best haunted houses in the Peach State.

Here’s how to get tickets:

  • Tickets can be purchased online at hauntedmontrose.com/tickets or at the box office on site

  • Tickets start at $28 for all three attractions

  • Tickets bought at the box office are cash only
