Hayward, Thomas face off in Chargers’ win over Broncos

Former Perry standout Casey Hayward and former West Laurens standout Demaryius Thomas went head-to-head Oct. 13 as San Diego knocked off Denver in NFL play.

Hayward finished with six tackles and one pass defense, while Thomas had one catch for 3 yards.

Steven Nelson (Northside) Kansas City: Three tackles against Oakland.

Demarcus Robinson (Peach County) Kansas City: Played 14 plays on special teams against Oakland.

DeAndre Smelter (Tattnall Square) San Francisco: Injured reserve.

Erik Walden (Dublin) Indianapolis: Two tackles, one tackle for loss against Houston.
