Student news: Mercer students going abroad through Peace Corps, scholarship

▪  Kaitlyn Koontz, a senior at Mercer University, has been selected to serve as a Peace Corps community health volunteer in Ethiopia beginning in January.

▪  Simran Khoja, a junior at Mercer, is studying abroad in Hong Kong through a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship from the U.S. Department of State.

▪  Anna Keilser, a Bonaire Middle School sixth-grader; Ava Trussell, a Bonaire Middle seventh-grader; LeVaughn Scott, a Mossy Creek Middle sixth-grader; and Genesis Griffin, a Thomson Middle sixth-grader, were chosen as junior journalists for 13 WMAZ.
