Houston student named area officer for FFA

A Northside High School student recently began her term as president of the FFA’s Area 3.

Katie Keen, a senior, was among 48 officers from six areas of the state to take office over the summer. That happened at a conference at Camp John Hope near Fort Valley.

“Throughout the school year, Katie and her fellow officers will have the opportunity to represent Area 3 FFA members at a variety of teacher’s meetings, career development events, leadership conferences and area training activities,” according to a release from the Houston County school district.
