Teens fight over pizza; sister accused of chasing brother with hammer

It might not sound like much: A pair of teenage siblings fighting. But things escalated and someone called the police on the afternoon of June 1. A Bibb County sheriff’s deputy went to their house on Bloomfield Road in southwest Macon. According to the deputy’s report, the teens’ mother said her 17-year-old daughter “had hit her 13-year-old brother with a glass baking dish during a fight over a pizza in the kitchen.” The teens then went outside, the report noted, and the sister took off after her brother with a claw hammer. The boy wasn’t seriously hurt, the report went on, but the sister was charged with simple battery for allegedly striking him.
