Her Lexus was running rough. She told the cops it was her husband’s fault.

What happened to a Macon woman the other day might make for a decent country music lyric — or not: There was sugar in her gas tank because their love ran dry. The woman, 52, told the cops that she was heading to Warner Robins on May 20 when her gray 1999 Lexus began running sluggishly. She thought maybe she was out of gas. She pulled into a gas mart. Someone tested her fuel and learned that sugar had likely been dumped in it. According to a Bibb County sheriff’s report, the woman “believes her husband, who she is divorcing, placed the sugar in her tank.” The woman said she also thinks he stole her 8-week-old pit bull.
