She caught him cheating, then told the cops what she did about it — oops

He was at work when he got the text message. It was from his girlfriend, who was texting to say she knew he was cheating on her. “He said that he would handle it when he got to her house,” a Bibb County sheriff’s report of the May 18 episode began. “When he arrived, he laid on the couch and she didn’t seem out of the ordinary.” The man, 44, said he was at her apartment on Chambers Cove Drive in west Macon and didn’t notice anything unusual until his girlfriend, 40, walked into the living room dressed for a night on the town. “He asked what she was doing and she said she was going downtown and that (he) could go sleep with his other girl,” the report said. The man said he was leaving, and when he did, the woman “started grabbing his belongings and throwing them outside,” the report went on. “Once all of his stuff was outside, she poured bleach on his clothes, cut up several items with a knife, and threw his cellphone against the wall, breaking it.” A sheriff’s deputy asked the girlfriend about the dispute and, according to the officer’s write-up, “she stated with a grin on her face that she ‘put all his stuff outside with bleach.’ ” Her admission earned her a trip to jail.
