Bibb County murder suspect arrested in Atlanta motel
A man wanted in Bibb County’s latest homicide was arrested Wednesday at a motel in northeast Atlanta.
Anterrio Tremaine Stinson is accused of shooting to death 24-year-old Jonathan Risby in east Macon on Nov. 17. Also, a 39-year-old woman was shot in the foot during the incident.
The 25-year-old Stinson was arrested about 8 a.m. at a Motel 6 off Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. When Stinson wouldn’t open the door of a room there, deputy U.S. marshals burst in, officials said. Authorities had been looking for him since the killing.
Stinson was booked into the Bibb County jail on charges including murder and aggravated assault. He also is charged with violating probation, and he had a bench warrant for child support, according to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Stinson was previously indicted on charges including aggravated assault and home invasion, according to Bibb County Superior Court records.
He was sentenced as a first offender to five years of probation in January 2016.
In March, Stinson was arrested again on a charge of possession of a gun by a first offender. He pleaded not guilty. In September, the District Attorney’s Office for the Macon Judicial Circuit set bond at $14,865. It was unclear when Stinson was released.
Anyone with information about the latest case is urged to call the sheriff’s office at 478-751-7500, or call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
