State Bank on Zebulon Road was robbed
State Bank on Zebulon Road was robbed 30 minutes before the close of business Friday afternoon.
A man walked inside about 4:30 p.m., “went up to one of the tellers and passed a note demanding money,” Bibb County Sheriff’s Lt. Randy Gonzalez said. “The teller then complied with the demands of the note.”
The man did not have a weapon and did not cover his face.
Gonzalez said the suspect is a light-skinned black man about 6-feet tall who is likely in his late 20s or early 30s. He had a mustache and beard and wore a dark-colored do-rag on his head.
Witnesses told investigators the man left the bank in either a bright blue or navy Toyota Corolla, possibly an early 2000s model.
Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
