Missing man’s car found abandoned in west Macon
The car of a Macon man reported missing June 23 was found near a wooded area at the dead end of a road in west Macon.
Emmanuel Stroud Sr. hasn’t been heard from or seen by his family since he left home June 18.
His early 2000’s model silver Nissan Sentra was parked at the end of Pershing Avenue, near the Harrison Road Wal-Mart and not far from Log Cabin Drive and Eisenhower Parkway.
When asked if foul play was being considered in Stroud’s case, Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigator Ricardo Merriweather said, “We’re still in the early stages of investigation.”
Relatives told deputies that Stroud was possibly moving from where he had been living with family on Shakespeare Boulevard, which is off Bloomfield Drive in south Macon.
Stroud has black hair, is about 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
