Gunman robs convenience store during dead of night on busy highway

A gunman held up a convenience store early Wednesday on the north side of Houston County.

Warner Robins police reported that the man held up the Flash Foods at 10136 Ga. 247 near Elberta Road just before 2:30 a.m.

The robber was described as a black man about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 155 pounds and wearing dark clothing.

He had something covering his face to try to hide is identity, a release said.
