Pickup smashes into store front as thieves steal ATM
Three thieves in a pickup smashed into the wall of the Reliance Food Mart and stole an ATM early Thursday.
Just before 4:30 a.m., three men with dark masks over their faces drove an older model, two-tone, silver over blue truck into the front of the store at the corner of Napier Avenue and Mumford Road, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The clerk was behind the counter and was not hurt as two of the men grabbed the ATM and loaded it into the back of the truck.
They took off and drove off up Mumford Road.
The truck tore through part of the wall and broke windows to the right of the front door of the store at 3590 Napier Ave.
