Pulaski State Prison guard dead in apparent suicide
A Georgia Department of Corrections officer died from an apparent suicide Tuesday morning in the parking lot of Pulaski State Prison.
The guard died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the prison on Upper River Road, said Georgia Department of Corrections spokeswoman Joan Heath.
Pulaski State Prison houses more than 1,200 adult female felons.
