Warner Robins man struck, killed while changing a flat tire in Florida
A Warner Robins man was killed Saturday night while changing a flat tire on U.S. 231 in Bay County, Florida.
Gonzella Yancie, 58, was pronounced dead on the scene by Bay County Emergency Medical Service workers, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
Yancie had parked his 2000 Toyota Sienna on the west shoulder of the southbound lane of the four-lane highway to change the tire, the release said.
He was struck and killed as he was changing the tire at 10:25 p.m. by a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 19-year-old Tifton man, according to the release.
