Missing Warner Robins children found safe
After searching for several hours Tuesday, Warner Robins police found two elementary school children who didn’t come home from school when expected.
Azalea Jenkins, 11, and Aleigha Soriano, 8, were last seen walking home from Russell Elementary School, according to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department. The school is on Patriot Way.
The kids were last spotted about 5:30 p.m. in the area of Todd Circle, which is about a half a mile or less from the school.
However, the girls were found safe at an abandoned car wash near Watson Boulevard and Corder Road.
Jennifer Parson, spokeswoman for the police department, said about 8:30 p.m. that the girls would return home in a few hours.
"We are still tracking down where they've been for the past couple of hours," Parson said.
