Senate committee examining ways to lower Georgia’s tax rates
The public is invited to a state Senate subcommittee meeting Friday about tax reform, including methods for lowering the state’s tax rates, according to a news release.
The meeting by the Senate Finance Subcommittee on Tax Reform will be held at 10 a.m. at Mercer University’s Field House Team Meeting Room, 1501 Mercer University Drive. The meeting will include discussion on how different proposals could improve Georgia’s ability to attract jobs.
“Additionally, tax reform measures in other states, economic development initiatives and burdensome state regulations will be addressed,” the release said.
The subcommittee is chaired by Sen. Judson Hill, R-Marietta.
