Macon motorist dead after nearly hitting a pedestrian, then crashing, authorities say
A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Friday after she lost control of her vehicle after nearly hitting one of two women walking along the side of Recreation Road in east Macon, according to a release.
April Denise Curry, 34, of Macon, was pronounced dead at the scene, a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release said. Her vehicle crossed over Recreation Road and struck a tree after she lost control.
The crash remains under investigation.
