Thanks to Hurricane Irma, it may be a while before you get your mail
Some residents living in northern Florida and southern Georgia may have issues getting their mail now that Hurricane Irma has come and gone.
USPS announced Tuesday that normal service operations in the path of the storm have been interrupted by “unsafe conditions such as high winds, flooding, or impassable roads.”
According to the press release, all post offices, stations and branches have suspended retail and delivery operations for Georgia zip codes beginning with 304, 310, 312, 313, 314, 315, 316, 317, 318, 319, and 398.
Florida zip codes beginning with 320, 322, 323, 324, 325, 326, and 344 are also affected.
Delivery is suspended “until further notice,” said the release. Additional information will provided as conditions improve.
If you live in these areas, you can call 1-800-275-8777 for updated information.
