Tropical Storm Irma Middle Georgia damage reports
Although Hurricane Irma has been downgraded to a tropical storm, the persistent and strong winds are leading to downed trees and power outages in Middle Georgia.
The Macon-Bibb County EMA is warning the strongest winds will come between 2 and 8 p.m. Monday with gusts approaching 70 mph.
Public safety officials are asking people to avoid driving around Monday unless it’s necessary. Below is a compilation of damage reports from across the area.
