A man’s decomposed body was found in a recreational vehicle Monday.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said the manager of Safe Haven RV Park on Glendale Avenue discovered the body at approximately 11:45 a.m. Jones said the man’s girlfriend in New Jersey called the park and said she had not heard from him. Jones believed the man had been dead for about two weeks.

Jones identified the man as Joel DeGroot, 51. Jones said he had been residing at the RV park for about a year. The death is believed to have been from natural causes.

The park is located in the area behind the Bojangles on Pio Nono Avenue at Interstate 75.
