80-year-old pedestrian dies after being struck by car in shopping mall parking lot earlier this month

An 80-year-old pedestrian struck by a car earlier this month in a Shoppes at River Crossing parking lot died Friday night.

Byron Grant, of Macon, was struck by a car in front of the Bonefish Grill Dec. 9 at about 3:15 p.m., said Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

Grant died at The Medical Center, Navicent Health, as the result of a brain injury he sustained in the crash, Jones said.
